Private Charters
Rent the Wofford with a crew for private charters, tours and parties from 5 to 49 people. Our home port is the city dock at Rensselaer City Park, and from there you can cruise the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers or the Erie and Champlain Canal System. In some cases we can even come to you.

Father's Day Special: Pack up Dad, the kids and your cares, and join us this Sunday, June 15th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM or 5:00 to 7:00 PM for a cruise down the Hudson River onboard the "Wofford." Dads ride for FREE when accompanied by their family. Treat your dad to something totally new and different as Captains Choice introduces the "Wofford", a 1941 cruise ship, to the Capital District and the Hudson River Front.

Seating is limited, please call 470-4666 to reserve your space.

Boarding will take place at the Albany Snow Dock, where the Dutch Apple and the USS Slater are docked.

Rolling' On the River

Maybe you've been on one of those Hudson River tour boats, but you haven't been on a cruise like this one. This week Captain's Choice of Rensselaer launches The Wofford, a classic 1940s wooden tour boat that can carry up to 49 passengers on intimate trips along the river and State Canal system. Captain Steve Barrows say,"We want folks to relax while listening to live music, sip a favorite wine and take in the sights along our historic waterways." The Wofford was built in 1941 and served for years in the waters of southern Florida and the Everglades. Hurry and you might score a spot on their Bluegrass Cruise on Saturday, June 7. The Wofford is completely covered, with windows that open to let the sea breeze in, or close to keep the rain or cool air out. We offer full catering, light drinks and snacks, or your own "carry on, carry off" service.

Local Talent/Wine Tasting/Fall Foliage Tours

Relax while listening to live music, sipping your favorite wine and taking in the sights along the river. From the start of the boating season in late April or early May till the end in October or November, no two days on the river are the same. Bluegrass Cruise on the Hudson River!

The Bluegrass Cruise received great reviews from all onboard and plans are in the works for another musical filled trip down the Hudson River. Ahoy Mates! We are excited to announce a very special event. Please join us for a Bluegrass Cruise on the Hudson River on Saturday, June 7, from 7-9pm! Sail with the Riverview Ramblers on a two-hour private charter with Captain's Choice, departing from the Rensselaer City Park Dock (just across the Dunn Memorial bridge from Albany). $20/person.
