This course is recommended for all boaters. in New York, you MUST attend a classroom course and hold a Safety Certificate (issued by the state) to:

• Operate a personal watercraft (jet ski), REGARDLESS OF AGE.
• Operate a motorboat between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.

This comprehensive boating course, approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators, teaches the foundations of safe boating operation and includes the following basics:

         * Boat operation                            * Accidents and Emergencies

       * Boats and Motors                       * Equipment

       * Navigating Waters                       * Personal Watercraft

       * Rules of the Road                        * Safe Powering/Loading

This course is being offered throughout the Capital Region, Saratoga and Lake George areas.

Captain's Choice joins Knowledge Network

Knowledge Network, the Capital Region's leader in adult education now offers classes taught by Captain's Choice, LLC.

In the past we have offered classes at area marinas and onboard our vessel, the "Wofford".

Now, by offering classes through an established leader in adult education, we are hoping to reach more people and offer them a choice of learning environments that make them feel most comfortable.

Our number one goal is to increase boater knowledge and safety.
