Captain Al Burrill holds a United States Coast Guard Captain's and Master's License with a towing endorsement and holds a Federal Communications Commission MROP (Marine Radio Operator Permit). He also has a New York State Captain's License.

He is a Viet Nam veteran and served on active duty as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and later as a Major in the USMCR.

Captain Al retired from McCormick and Company where he worked in several domestic and international plants in Operations Management.

Captain Al is a past Commodore of the Susquehanna Yacht Club located in Wrightsville, PA and is a member of the Ravena Coeymans Yacht Club.

He has experience in transporting boats ranging in size from 50 to 200 feet to and from Troy, NY to Fort Myers, Florida via the Inter coastal Waterway (ICW), Atlantic Ocean and the Hudson River. He is also familiar with the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay area.

He is also a certified instructor for the New York State Safe Boating Course.
